There are a limited number of Erik Duval SoLAR Travel scholarships available for doctoral students who are in good standing in their program (as verified by an email from their Supervisor or Program Director). The amount of these travel scholarships will vary depending on the final number of students eligible and distances traveled. At a minimum the Erik Duval Travel Scholarships will cover LASI student registration fees, 2 nights accommodation at the preferred Columbia rate hotels and then partial funding for travel. Depending on the number of applicants additional support for travel will be finalized at a later date.

Applications for Student Scholarships close on the Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at 5pm EDT (NY time) . Students must have completed the registration process and checked the scholarship consideration field by this time to be eligible.

How to Apply:
1. Be a current Student Member of SoLAR
2. During registration for LASI18, choose “Yes, I would like to be considered for a travel scholarship”.
3. Register by May 1, 2018 at 5pm EDT
4. Have your Supervisor/ Program Director send an email to: solarsocietymgmt@gmail.com, stating you are in good standing within your program.
